No, well Maker. No,
bro. That's three for Wmaker. Bro, we
just finished watching UFC Fight Night
Allen versus Duncan. No, we didn't throw
a huge watch party like a Super Bowl
party for this card. Was it good? Yeah.
So, in today's video, we are going to do
a full fight reaction to each fight on
the card, starting with the main event.
Brennan Allen versus Christian Leroy
Duncan. Now, is this a barn burner? Not
really, but it was actually a really
entertaining fight. Some good grappling
exchanges. Uh CLLD puts the pressure on
in the first round, landing a lot of
strikes. I feel like CLD really showed a
lot of his bag, man. He was throwing
wheel kicks, using short elbows. Point
taken away for an eye poke. Allan was
looking at freaking the ref. He's like,
"Yo, you got to look out for the eye
poke. Soon as the round two starts, he
gets hit with the eye poke. Takes away a
point. Changes the momentum of the
entire fight. and Brennan Allen was just
able to secure takedown after takedown
and then, you know, gathering momentum,
tiring out CLLD. CLLD had a really good
fourth round, but as soon as round five
ended, you know, things start leaning
towards Allen's way. He ends up getting
like a nice little butterfly action. You
know, it takes the back, secures a rear
naked choke, and it looked like CLD
didn't want to tap at all. It looked
like he was about to go out last second.
He taps on his face. That was a good
fight. I'm not going to lie. You know,
it was a it was an interesting match
because, you know, Brennan Allen's
number four in the rankings and he's
going down a lot. I think the last two
fights prospects Christian Lee were
Duncan. A scary dude, bro. Scary dude
and has a lot of power. So, that's a
very impressive win. We'll see how the
UFC kind of treats Brennan Allen. He's
not the most marketable guy. He's not
the going to get the most pop. He's not
going to sell out arenas. So, I do think
Brennan Allen has to kind of lean into
more of his performances. And that was a
great performance. Uh, nevertheless,
speaking of performances, Jai Herbert,
bro, you piss me off, bro. I'm not gonna
lie. Okay, I'm saying this because I had
Jai Herbert. That was my underdog play
of of this card. He won. But, bro, if
you're in someone's guard, just stand
up. Okay, Jerber really, really slow
first round. Second round, he he
reverses position. He gets on top and he
was just in Matteas's guard the whole
time. He he was just trying to land
strikes. And I don't understand this
type of game plan because Jai, he was
doing good on the feet. He was landing
his strikes, but he was just engaging
the guard. He didn't want to pass the
guard. He was just laying on top. And I
don't understand it. Maybe it's a crafty
crafty vet move that's too high level
for me to comprehend. But I was just
yelling at my TV like, "Jai, just stand
up, bro. Just stand up. Stop engaging in
this dude's open guard." Uh, but Jai
Herbert very close to the finish in
round three. Uh he almost slips. It
looked like he just slipped across the
cage as soon as as soon as he started
landing significant shots. Of course,
Jai Herbert started falling all the way
across the cage. Uh he has the momentum,
ends up getting a unanimous decision
win. Huge win for us because we got kind
of cooked on this card. We did all
right, but there was a few things that
didn't go our way. Malcolm Wmaker being
one of them, bro. Oh my gosh, bro. Uh
the fight before that, we had Lupy
Godinez versus Kelyn Sza. I know this
one's going to be controversial
uh for the decision here. It went Luby
Godz's way and you know throughout this
fight I was kind of leaning towards Sza.
I'm not going to lie, just because Sza
landed the more damaging strikes in the
beginning, but we had the same type of
situation with closed guard. I'm very
interested to see how the judges
actually score, you know, the position
time on top when someone has their legs
wrapped around your waist. You're
landing strikes, but it's not like
significant strikes. So Ly Godz had, you
know, these strikes against the ears and
stuff, racking up the the numbers, as we
could say, and she ends up getting the
win. A unanimous decision. Yeah, I think
it's pushing it a little bit. Maybe a
split. I could totally see it. Control
time, significant strikes, total control
time, all that stuff. But it didn't seem
like Kelyn Sza had a really good game
plan in the beginning of the fight. She
was landing a lot of a lot of uppercuts.
She was connecting a lot throughout the
fight. And you can see the damage on
Lupinas's face. Let me know you guys'
thoughts on that strawweight fight. Now,
let's go, bro. Andre Philly got the dub.
I had a feeling Andre Philly was going
to give us a crafty performance and yes,
we got it right here, bro. Really good
first round. I love the stance switches
from Andre Philly. He just moved with
it. Money jab. His jab was there all
day. And I'm just so glad to see someone
at this age, you know, performing at
this level. Well, Kaikamaka is no scrub,
don't get me wrong. Like, he was in the
UFC. He got cut, came back, and uh, bro,
beautiful head kick knockout for Andre
Philly, bro. Breaking palms up, straight
up left hook, broke the defense down.
It was money, bro. And what I respected
the most about this was that Andre
Philly knocked him out and he could have
went for the kill shot, you know, he
could have went Dan Hendo on him, but he
held back. He had respect. He did the
little si or he prayed first and then he
hit the si. So I'm just super glad that
Andre Philly got the dub. You know, one
of the vets in the game and to see that
him performing at this level really
shows like if you're really working on
your craft, you have a few unlucky
things that happen in your career. It's
all the mindset. It's all the
preparation. Seeing it play out like
that, beautiful performance from Andre
Philly. Beautiful.
Damn, bro.
Damn.
So, Malcolm Wmaker lost his last two.
He's going against a I would say a
newcomer in the UFC, Tanzalovi. Uh his
last fight was against Shane Collins
with Shane Collins uh 1v8 decision. Uh
you know, he has he hasn't won yet. So,
I'm kind of thinking, you know, Malcolm
Wellmaker, he's he's in a new camp. He
moved his family out there to Florida.
He's training with the American Top Team
out there. I've listened to a few
interviews, a few podcasts. Seemed like
he was, you know, mentally trying to get
to that space where he was, where he was
on top of the world, bro. Everybody was
messing with everybody was on the
Malcolm Wmaker train, bro. Including me.
And to see him get knocked out in this
fight, bro.
You got to feel for him, bro. You got to
feel for Malcolm Wmaker. Great win for
Tanzalovi,
but it just shows you how crazy the
fight game is, bro. literally all the
hype, all the momentum. He loses to
Ethan E-wing. He loses to Juan Diaz via
submission and now he gets knocked out,
bro. I don't know what's next to him. I
was in the live chat with with some of
the boys. And we're kind of just
figuring out like, you know, maybe
should find another team, team Alpha. I
don't even know what the next move is,
but personally, man, just seeing Malcolm
go out the way he did was rough to see,
bro. I was like, damn. I was excited for
this fight. And it was a good
performance. It was a good performance.
Just didn't go Malcolm's way. All right.
End of the pre end of the freaking
preliv. Julius Walker versus Gerald
Mirshot. Bro, you should have heard the
commentary on this freaking fight, bro.
This is Gerald Mirshot's last fight. Uh
Mirshot is has like one of the craziest
records in the UFC. He's like freaking
he's fought like 80 professional fights,
bro. It's is legitimately insane. Gerald
Mirshot pulled half guard. He pulled
guard. like he was in bottom side
control, bro. And it it was the way that
Bisping and Dominic Cruz were talking
about this this fight was like Mir, he
wants to be here, bro. He wants to be in
the worst position that you could
possibly be in. And don't get me wrong,
Gerald GM3 could get a sub, you know,
off a scramble, catching a triangle,
catching an arm bar, but oh my gosh,
bro, it going to be bad. He's 37 and 23.
It was bad. And it's like what made it
kind of worse is that the other dude had
kind of a long speech and they didn't
really give him a send off. They're
like, you know, Bism's like great career
and then just gone. You know, some
people they have a sendoff, some people
they don't. But this one was was rough
to see. I mean, yeah, GM3 was on a
freaking six fight. Now it's a sixight
losing streak. It's tough to see, bro.
It's so tough to see. Now, the fight
before that, Ismael Bonfi actually
missed weight on this fight by 7 and 12
lb. Bro, 7 12 lbs. And Francisco Prao
still took this fight and Pra's moving
down a weight class. If you guys saw the
picture, I'll probably throw it up here
of Pra at 155. Imagine cutting all that
weight. You come from welterweight to
lightweight. You look like that. And
then the other dude misses weight by
freaking almost a whole weight class. I
don't even know what this dude was
thinking before he before the fight. He
took the fight and he won in the first
round. Lay in the first round, gets a
TKO. I'm just happy he won. Just imagine
if Bomb Fee won that fight, bro. That
would have sucked so bad, bro. But
Francisco Praau calls out his twin, Drew
Dober, the freaking Crimson Chins.
That'll be a good fight towards the end
of the year. They look like each other,
and I definitely think Pra should fight
at 155, but that weight cut looks
freaking tough. So maybe lay off the the
fast food. I don't even know what to
say. It's not it's not like he's out of
shape. 155 seems like a tough weight
cut. Fight before that. Uh our picks we
did. All right. This was not our best
pick here. We had Nico Price versus Leon
Shabbazian.
Nico Price's last fight. Kind of like a
GM3. What GM3 should have done was just
start the fight and just try to end it
as soon as you can. Nico Price as soon
as he heard the freaking, you know, the
bell, he just put BTA on Leon
Shabbazian, bro. Shbazi was just on his
back literally threw no strikes. It was
tough, bro. Nico Price gets a send off.
Something that's very rare in this game
where you see the person retiring gets a
W. But of course, Michael Bisping has to
go up to him and it's like with a
performance like that, what do you
think? And it's like, bro, let these
guys just retire. Of course, these guys
are fighters. They just come off a win.
They're full of adrenaline. They feel
good. They're going to be like, I could
do this forever, bro. Let's Let's not I
don't think Sean Shel's going to call
Niko Price up again, but oh my gosh,
just leave it at that, bro. If they say
it's going to be the last one and they
going out pretty bad, come on. If you're
going to have another fight, just going
out bad on your last one is so tough to
see as a fan, please end it on a dub.
End it on a dub, right? Upset alert on
this one, bro. Branson Hero versus
Felipe Franco. I was like a thousand%
Felipe Franco is going to win, bro. lost
his last four. Like Pra had like a 90
something% chance on topology. I'm like,
"Bro, this is an easy pick." And that's
where I made the mistake, bro. That's
where I made the mistake. I'm like,
"This is too easy." Branson Hearro pull.
He jumps the ghillie and it's like
Franco helped him get the ghillie. He's
like, "Oh, you have the ghillie. Let me
help you up and take you down." He
rolled with the ghillie full mount. It
was it going to be bad. And it was. Red
Hero gets the win. Upset, bro. Huge
upset. And it was backtoback upsets,
bro. Allan Fry Jr. versus RJ Harris. RJ
Harris slimmed out Hines not too long
ago. So I'm like, you know, this guy,
this guy might be pretty good. And as
soon as the fight start, I'm like,
Harris looks freaking calm, cool, and
collected. He's landing his shots. He
has a lot of power behind the shots. And
then we start getting gassed a little
bit, bro. We got gassed. Allan Fry lands
a nice little two-piece biscuit, the
freaking drink on the side. Puts
freaking RJ Harris down. two backto back
upsets there.
That was rough to see, too, because
those are like those are the easiest
picks on the card. Obviously not.
Obviously, I made some some errors here.
RJ Harris is now kind of on the like
maybe I'll go with this guy, maybe not.
But we we'll have to see. We're going to
have to keep our eyes on R.J. Harris to
see for for future plays here. But yeah,
that one caught me by surprise, bro. At
least Pereira versus Dara. Uh this fight
ended in a cut. There was a mean cut in
the first round. I think it was a elbow.
Nothing really happened in this fight
that was too crazy. I mean, Pereira had
some good shots, especially in the
commentary like, oh, you know, there's a
lot of like, oh, this girl got a lot of
power. She's not related to Alex
Pereira, but she ends up getting the dub
and she seems like she has a lot of
power. I'm not going to lie. Her
strikes, they landed and the elbow ended
up cutting her. They end up stopping in
between the round. Pretty easy fight to
watch and it makes sense. you know, she
got cut and the first fight that we saw
on the card ended in a draw. Now, do I
think this was a draw? No. I thought,
okay, first of all, I thought Ernesa
Karikate was going to win this fight.
That was my prediction. She ends up
getting a point taken away for grabbing
the fence. So, I'm like, oh man, like,
okay, now we're firing from behind. Uh,
Karik ends up getting some nice strikes,
nice takedowns,
and then we just give up the freaking
round three. We just give it up, bro. We
literally just give up our back.
Freaking submission attempt. She almost
got armbar towards the end and they I
thought she lost the fight. I literally
thought Kadik lost the fight. They're
going to give it to Gateau. I don't know
how I don't know how they didn't give
the fight, especially with the point
taken away and the submission attempt.
There wasn't a lot to kind of like um
score off of, but bro, like the the the
strikes were they're pretty even, bro. I
I didn't see nothing too crazy, but that
was the end of the card. So, I mean I
mean that was the beginning of the card.
So, I I still still really don't know
what's the best way to break down the
cards because the main event is what
recently just happened. So, that will
finish first. But for like retention,
we'll figure that out. But overall, we
went seven for 12 on our picks. Uh I
would say the worst pick that we had was
probably not going Nico Price. And that
sounds crazy to say to me, you know, of
course, two two favorites end up getting
slimed out. That's tough to tell. But
besides that, we just got cooked on
favorites, bro. Everything else, the
last four money. We took Allen, Herbert,
Godzilla, Philly, and I'm just happy
Philly got the got the win. Herbert,
too, but Herbert, bro, we got to lock in
a little bit, bro. Please, let's just
stand up and just do our our game right
there, bro. Let have a game right there.
And if you want to engage in the other
person's game, it's like, what are we
doing? What are we doing? So yeah, I
think uh that was not bad for a fight
night. Honestly, I do think that UFC is
getting a little lazy with matchups and
I do think they got to have a little bit
more of uh a hook hook line and sinker
to bring the viewers in because Allen
versus Duncan
not the biggest kind of home names
you'll see. But besides that, for the
dieh hard fans, for the people who watch
every card, you know, we're going to
watch no matter what. And that's kind of
what I wanted to do for this type of
episode, just to give you guys a little
recap on what went down. And honestly,
not bad. There was a few decisions, few
KOs,
but besides that, that ends today's
episode. And uh we are almost at 5,000
