Is Dan Hooker Cooked? | Y2K Predictions
Alonzo Hernandez · Watch on YouTube · Generated with SnapSummary · 2026-09-02

00:00 I'm just saying Dong has the ability to

00:03 upset Umar Nagame. I know he has Khabib

00:06 in his team and I'm going Sonia Dong on

00:08 this fight. What is up ladies and

00:10 gentlemen? We are back with another

00:12 episode elite shirt pull. Yes, we are

00:15 back and Dan Hooker has a main event in

00:18 the big 2026. I know all of us really

00:21 want to know what's going to happen in

00:22 this car, but realistically, we are

00:25 trying to push along to get to UFC 331,

00:28 UFC Noce. Those are the big cars we're

00:30 really looking forward to. But this, you

00:32 know, we got to eat our veggies, too.

00:34 So, if you guys are new to the channel,

00:35 my name is Alonzo and we do podcast

00:37 interviews, train jiu-jitsu, all that

00:39 stuff. But also huge fan of uh doing

00:42 predictions as well. So, as you guys

00:43 could see, we had a okay card out there

00:46 in China. The main thing is Sona Dong

00:50 clutched up and knocked out freaking

00:52 Umar and the Magame, bro. If you guys

00:54 want a little reaction to that, that is

00:56 here.

01:02 >> He knocked them out.

01:03 >> So, he cast made us a light $600. So, um

01:07 want to give a big Chinese uh thank you

01:11 to Song Yong. Congrats on the big dub.

01:13 Uh, let's get started with this card out

01:16 here in Where's this card at? In France.

01:18 It's in France. So, we we got a freaking

01:20 nice little cold one popped in. First

01:22 fight of the night. The fight that we're

01:24 all looking forward to. Deline Benu

01:28 versus Sophia Montenegro. Okay, I know

01:31 what you guys are probably thinking

01:32 like, who you going to go with, Zo?

01:35 Like, are you going to go with the

01:36 favor? You going to go with the

01:37 underdog? I'm personally going with the

01:38 favorite here. She's from France. Slight

01:41 underdog. I'm not saying like I'm a huge

01:43 fan. And I'm not going to cap to you

01:44 guys. You will never see me lie about me

01:46 pretending to know what's going to

01:48 happen during these fights. But

01:50 sometimes we just got the luck.

01:51 Sometimes we do, sometimes we don't. I'm

01:53 saying the French people got the luck

01:55 going into this card. Okay. Only in

01:58 China that is not the case. I don't

01:59 know. Like you could say that UFC is

02:01 definitely not rigged, bro. Because you

02:03 you see an event in China and more than

02:05 half of those dudes are losing. I don't

02:07 know how to explain it. But if you do a

02:08 nochce card, you do a card out there in

02:11 Canada, most of the the people from

02:13 that, you know, country are getting the

02:16 dub. So, we're going to have to see. Uh

02:18 I think BSD lost to Hinata Moanu in

02:21 France, like pretty badly. So, we're

02:23 going to have to see. I'm hoping Deli

02:25 could cash us in. I'm thinking Deline

02:27 takes this via decision, but we shall

02:30 see. All right, going into the second

02:31 fight, we have another Frenchman going

02:33 against a Brazilian here. and Luis Phipe

02:35 Diaz versus Mateo Duclo Duclo. So, this

02:39 one looks pretty good. Both these guys

02:40 are on some good win streaks here. Diaz

02:43 is on a three-ight win streak. Matteas

02:45 Duclo is on a fouright win streak. Um,

02:47 also making his UFC debut, though. So,

02:50 uh, Philipe Diaz does have an extra

02:52 fight in the UFC, so he doesn't really

02:54 have to deal with that kind of uh, debut

02:56 pressure here. I'm going to go two for

02:57 two for the French. I'm hoping for a

03:00 finish, a round two finish for Duclo in

03:03 his UFC debut. All right, now this one

03:05 is very interesting to me. We have Norah

03:07 Corull versus Claudia Sigula. I'm going

03:10 Sigula here, even though she's the

03:12 underdog. But if we look at the topology

03:14 here, 78% of the people are also going

03:16 Sigula here. Um I'm not I'm really not

03:19 sure why Cornol is the favorite going

03:22 into this. Maybe because she's from

03:24 France, but she's lost her last two and

03:27 I think Siguela can get the dub via TKO.

03:30 I'm gonna go with a round three TKO. I'm

03:32 hoping it's a little back and forth. Um,

03:34 but I'm I'm really hoping for finishes

03:35 on this card. The last few cards have

03:37 been absolutely insane. We're at the

03:39 Sacramento card. We're at the Dana White

03:41 Contender Series. The last uh week three

03:43 and week one. We were there. There's

03:45 been tons of finishes. Uh Gameamra

03:47 versus Southkilled. We were there as

03:49 well. Tons of good fights. So, I'm I'm

03:51 really hoping that we get to see that

03:53 here as well. Next fight on the card, we

03:55 have Fabia Cintes versus Michael

03:58 Aljurro. This one looks like it's going

04:00 to be a scrap. Like I said before, a lot

04:03 of people are making their debuts. So,

04:05 you will never catch me being like, yo,

04:07 unless I really know if I've seen the

04:09 other fights before, like to be honest,

04:10 like this just looks like a really good

04:12 matchup uh on paper, like Anthony Smith

04:14 on paper. But, uh right here, 11 and

04:17 three, 13 and three. I think the

04:19 Spaniard takes it, bro. We'll see how

04:21 that goes. I'm going to go with a

04:22 submission win here. Round two. I don't

04:24 know why. I don't know. I don't know.

04:26 We're moving on. Nathaniel Wood, though,

04:28 this is a short notice fight versus

04:30 Pavel Andrusa. Undefeated 8 and0.

04:33 Nathaniel Wood, bro. He definitely has

04:35 the experience and he's beat some good

04:37 people. Uh he's beat Daniel Paneeda.

04:40 That's Joshua Van's head coach Morgan

04:42 Share. Jose Delgado.

04:45 Uh, that one was interesting, you know,

04:47 and then, uh, he's won his last one via

04:49 split decision. So, he's won some close

04:51 fights. I'm leaning towards Nathaniel

04:53 Wood here. I'm hoping he gets the

04:54 finish, but I'm going to play it safe

04:56 and go decision with Nathaniel Wood.

04:58 He's a very high output striker. He's

05:01 definitely going to get a lot of variety

05:04 when it comes to kicks, punches, elbows.

05:07 Uh, I like Nathaniel Wood, and I think

05:08 the short notice fight is not the best

05:10 for Pavo. Moving up the card, we have

05:12 Omar Sai versus Modestas Bukowskas,

05:16 the Baltic Warrior. I'm going Bukowskas

05:20 here. I know uh Omar Sai is going to be

05:23 the crowd favorite. Uh between the two,

05:25 I'm taking the Baltic Warrior here via a

05:28 second round finish. Now, Curtis

05:30 Campbell, he's back. Curtis Campbell is

05:32 the favorite here, but but he did get

05:37 slimed out against Danny Silva and he

05:40 didn't look the best. So, Curtis

05:42 Campbell, even though he's a huge

05:44 favorite, kind of worries me at times.

05:46 I'm going to take Campbell by decision

05:48 and I think it's not going to be like

05:50 the prettiest unless he gets a finish,

05:52 but I'm I'm thinking he's mostly going

05:53 to most likely going to go to decision

05:55 here. Uh just volume strike. I wouldn't

05:57 like touch this on bets or anything.

05:59 He's a minus 370. Trevor Peak is not

06:01 like the most high level uh of opponent.

06:04 So I think this is a uh a winnable fight

06:06 for Curtis Campbell. Um now we have a

06:10 hood favorite here. Mario Pinto versus

06:13 Ryan Span Superman Span. Uh he slimed

06:16 out my goat freaking Bushesa in the

06:19 Apex. It going to be bad. But he's going

06:22 against undefeated Mario Pinto who has

06:24 knockout power and uh he could fake

06:27 accent postfight victory. So, this one's

06:29 going to be tough because um I know my

06:32 bro, he's definitely going to go

06:33 Superman Spanheavy on this fight here.

06:35 And honestly, the odds are honestly

06:37 honestly the odds honestly the odds are

06:40 looking really good for Ryan Span if you

06:41 guys want to make a play here. Mario

06:43 Pinto has not been beaten. He hasn't

06:46 been chinned or anything, but uh Ryan

06:48 Span definitely has knockout power. So,

06:50 if somebody gets chin, somebody's

06:51 getting chinned here, bro. And um I'm

06:54 thinking I think Pinto chin span, bro.

06:57 Uh, I hate to break it to you, but we're

06:59 going with the round two Pinto dub.

07:02 Superman Span, I think, you know, maybe

07:05 it's just the age. Maybe might be a

07:07 little step behind Pinto. I think

07:08 Pinto's 28 years old. Span's 35. He just

07:11 turned 35. Happy birthday, Ryan Span.

07:14 I'm going Pinto, though. And uh, yeah,

07:16 but this one, I'd be on the lookout for

07:18 this one. This one's gonna be a banger

07:19 for sure. For sure. Now, this one's

07:21 interesting to me. Lucin Kinta versus

07:24 Muhammad Nimov. All right, the odds are

07:27 looking a little back and forth here. Uh

07:30 he he lost a split to Nathaniel Wood as

07:32 we were talking about earlier, but um

07:34 this is really just going to see we're

07:35 going to see where experience lies in

07:37 this fight. Okay. Uh Nimov has a um a

07:40 lot more fights than Kita in the in the

07:43 UFC octagon, but I'm going to go KA on

07:45 this one, bro. He's the favorite, but at

07:48 the same time, it's like you're going

07:49 against someone who has a lot more

07:50 experience than you, but I do think he

07:52 slams him out in like the first round,

07:53 bro. I'm excited for that one. All

07:55 right. Now, this one,

07:58 like, if you know ball, this one's

07:59 really good, bro. Morgan Sharie versus

08:01 Felipe Lima. Lima hasn't fought in like

08:04 a year. His last fight was against Payne

08:06 Talbet. A lot of people were ruined for

08:08 Lima to to win that fight there. Pay

08:10 Tama was coming off a loss against Hony

08:12 Barcelos. And Payne made huge

08:14 improvements. Kind of shocked a lot of

08:16 people. It went to decision. I think

08:17 that was Payne's first decision win in

08:20 his career. Morgan Share though, he's on

08:22 a win loss kind of uh vibe here. He's

08:26 lost one one, he's lost his last one. Is

08:28 he due? You know, he got head kicked

08:30 against Mequisa Costa and he went out

08:33 bad like it going to be bad and it was

08:36 uh but he's he had a great fight against

08:38 Nate Landwear. Freaking scrap, bro. So,

08:41 this this one I feel like um is leaning

08:45 towards Lima. And I think I'm gonna lean

08:47 towards Lima here just due to the fact

08:49 that I know Lima is not going to put

08:50 himself in a huge amount of danger

08:53 unlike like a a Nate Loud where he would

08:56 just want to live in the fire and start

08:57 scrapping. Lima a little bit more of a a

09:00 smarter fighter. I'm going to go with a

09:02 submission win round two for Lima here.

09:04 But this one I'm I'm excited for that

09:06 one. Like realistically this one this

09:08 will be good. Now Punahily Soraniano

09:10 versus Daniel Donenko. I've seen Pun

09:13 Punahily fight. I feel like sometimes he

09:15 just makes some like some like technical

09:18 errors, bro. Like even the fights he

09:20 wins, like he almost got guillotine like

09:22 six times in one fight, bro. Like he

09:24 kept on getting put in the same

09:25 position. He was getting taken down. He

09:27 ended up winning the fight, but it just

09:28 wasn't the best uh stylistically.

09:31 Donchenko, he's 14-2, but he he's able

09:34 to knock people out. And one mistake

09:37 from Sorano and his lights out. I'mma go

09:40 Donko TKO round two. But um yeah, I

09:44 don't know. I I could see I could see

09:47 Punohily maybe winning via decision, but

09:49 Donchenko, he has that that power, that

09:52 kind of like Muay Thai type of uh style

09:54 there. So that's what I'm I'm I'm uh

09:57 leaning with there. So now the boy, now

09:59 the boy, Michael Venom Page versus

10:02 Nurlston Rosie Bov. This one's tough,

10:05 Maji, because it's like we we all kind

10:07 of ruin for MVP at the end of the day.

10:09 He came back, you know, Kevin Holland

10:12 master class, you know, you know the

10:14 Pokeball, you seen the the highlights on

10:16 Bellator. It's just like Unk, he getting

10:18 a little old, bro. Like he getting up

10:20 there. He's still fast. He's still

10:22 crafty. Just that last fight he had with

10:25 um Sam Patterson. It was his boy. So

10:28 yeah, there wasn't a lot going on. It

10:30 was a very boring fight. Now my MVP is

10:32 getting thrown in like as the the boring

10:34 fighter. Now he's went from the most

10:36 exciting fighter become because of his

10:38 taekwond do point style to now like the

10:40 decision merchant. Um I think he's going

10:43 to have to prove a lot of people wrong

10:45 here especially against Nlson Russiov

10:47 who has uh who has been in some scraps

10:50 bro he has definitely been in some

10:52 scraps and he has a lot of experience.

10:55 He's literally 37 and n

10:59 32 years old. So this is going to be

11:01 high volume and we're used to kind of

11:02 seeing Michael Venom Paige have the

11:04 height advantage. She does not have the

11:05 height advantage here. So, I'm hoping to

11:07 see like a flying knee. Uh I really want

11:11 to see a KO here. I really want to see a

11:14 KO, but I'm going to go MVP decision.

11:18 I want to see a KO. I want to see MVP

11:22 get back in his bag, hit flow state, and

11:25 just do it. But I think Ruseibo is going

11:27 to be hard to hard to be uh put away.

11:30 So, I'm going MVP. a entertaining

11:33 decision at that. Okay, now we're

11:36 getting into some good fights. You know,

11:38 at first like when I break down the

11:40 cards, like it's hard for me to talk

11:41 about some of these guys because I don't

11:43 know much about each one of them. But

11:44 we're getting into the co-main event.

11:46 Farice Far Ferris Zam versus Axel Sa.

11:51 And Ze kind of sold me on his last

11:53 fight. I'm not gonna lie. Like he was

11:54 going he went against uh Tom Nolan. He

11:56 went against Tom Nolan and I was

11:59 expecting Ze to just put BTA on this

12:01 guy, right? But Ze made these like

12:05 interesting takedowns and he just end up

12:07 getting reversed and he lost position

12:10 and it looked like he just beat himself

12:12 in that last fight which kind of

12:14 concerns me taking him against Axel Sza

12:17 was coming off a win. He beat Bombfi

12:19 with a a Dar choke, one of the Bomb

12:21 Fiend bros. lost to Mason Jones. A

12:23 decision which is respectable because

12:25 Mason Jones is a freaking dog, but Ze's

12:29 gonna have to show lots of improvement

12:30 here. Like, I'm taking Zeam, but I'm not

12:33 super confident in my play if that makes

12:35 sense. So, I'm going to go with a a

12:38 decision win, a three round back and

12:41 forth. Ze wins one, Sza wins one, Ze

12:44 steals it in the late third round.

12:46 That's the vibe I'm going with for this

12:48 this co-main event. But Zeon, please,

12:51 please, for the people. He's The only

12:53 reason I'm taking him is cuz he's in

12:54 France. If he was somewhere else, if he

12:56 was at like the Meta Apex or anything

12:57 like that, I'm like, man, I might go

12:59 solo. But we're going far on this one.

13:03 Now, the main event of the evening,

13:07 Saladin Paranise versus Dan the Hangman

13:12 Hooker. They're disrespecting Hooker

13:14 right here, bro. Plus 425 against

13:17 someone who's making their debut. Yes,

13:19 he's 23 and2. And yes, he's a dog. Yeah,

13:21 he he finishes everybody, but he's not

13:24 in the UFC. He's not in the UFC. Dan

13:27 Hooker literally has wars in the UFC

13:31 with some good wins against Golat. He

13:34 won a freaking war against Matteas

13:36 Gamro, Jaylen Turner. His last three

13:39 wins aren't the most impressive. I'm not

13:40 going to lie. You know, it's hard to

13:42 defend him. Uh that Benois Denian Arman

13:44 Serukin fights, those were easily

13:46 forgettable for the boy Hangman Hooker.

13:49 But man, but man, Hooker has got beat

13:54 bad, bro. I really want like you could

13:56 hear me like kind of just like try to

13:59 convince myself to take Dan Hooker here.

14:01 Maybe it's because they're really not

14:04 putting the respect on the UFC's name.

14:06 It's kind of hard for them to kind of

14:07 just make someone have their debut. say

14:09 like a a Kaio Sakura versus a Alexandria

14:12 Pantosia, it's like, oh, you're not

14:13 going to work your way up, get into kind

14:16 of like a experienced vet. But it makes

14:20 it interesting, bro. But if there's one

14:22 thing that I've learned from 2026 and in

14:24 the UFC is that anybody can win. It

14:27 doesn't matter if they're a 10%

14:29 underdog, 5%. We have seen Sean

14:32 Strickland beat Hamzachi. We have seen

14:34 Justin Gachi beat freaking Ilia Tapora.

14:37 We have seen Joshua Van beat Alexandre

14:42 Pantoia. No, I'm just playing. But there

14:44 has been a lot of people who uh who have

14:47 won who are massive underdogs. Sonia

14:49 Dong versus Umar Nurmagamedov.

14:52 Insane.

14:53 Does that happen with this fight?

14:56 I don't know. I don't think so. I don't

14:59 think [music] so. Yeah, I'm going Panise

15:01 here, bro. I really wanted to go Dan

15:03 Hooker. I really did. I really did. Um,

15:05 I still might lay lay a bet, but uh I

15:08 say Paranise TKO round four. I really

15:11 try to convince myself to take Hooker,

15:13 bro. Man, man, [snorts] people forget.

15:15 But that is it. That is it for today's

15:19 episode, guys. Hope you guys enjoyed

15:20 this little breakdown. Hopefully your

15:22 guys' picks do well this weekend. Like I

15:24 said, we're getting ready for those big

15:26 for those bigger cards. Appreciate every

15:28 single one of you guys. Catch you guys

15:29 on the next episode. We out. Good luck.

15:32 Peace.
