Today's episode predictions for UFC
Perth. Carlos Prozes versus Jack Dela
Matt Elena. And honestly, we manifested
this matchup and has come to fruition. A
lot of people got Protest, a lot of
people got JDM. It's pretty much 50/50.
Honestly, I think the the fight being in
Australia is going to play a large role
in a lot of these fights. But, uh, we're
going to do a whole prediction of the
full card from the first fight all the
way to the main event. and we're going
to do an in-depth breakdown on JDM and
Carlos Prates and you know really talk
about their styles and how they conflict
with each other, how it's going to be a
really good matchup stylistically. Let's
start off with the first fight of the
card which is the boy the homie Cody
Steel versus Dom Marfon. Now it's been a
long time since Cody has fought. It's
almost been a whole year. It's been a
year and two months. Okay. And the last
fight he had was in Australia as well.
So, that may help. I don't know why
they're just shipping my boy Cody off to
Australia to scrap, but he's ready. He's
dialed in. And honestly, I think Cody
Steel is very underrated as a fighter.
Uh, his jiu-jitsu skill is really high
level. He's able to mix in his striking
with it as well. Don Marfon, the street
Buddha, is on a fiveight win streak and
surprisingly is the underdog for this
fight. Cody still is the favorite and I
do think he uh ends the fight via TKO.
He does have them hands. also has a
submission threat as well. So, there's a
lot to worry about with Cody Steel and
I'm hoping he stays really active um in
this, you know, remaining year.
Hopefully, we get another fight in 2026,
but that is going to be a huge huge
fight for him in his career. We got to
stay up early, bro. I think the the
fights start at a.m. and the main
card starts at a.m. where I'm at,
Pacific Standard Time. So, we got a
mission, bro. But, we're going to do
this and we're going to do this right.
Okay. So, next fight up, we have
Jonathan U McCalliff versus Stembba
Gerimbo. I know Kemba Gerimbo. There was
a lot of hype initially, right? Like
Dwayne the Rock Johnson was like uh
supporting him, giving him some money
for some houses and stuff. Then he got
choked out by V Vicente Lu and all the
hype went away and he also lost his last
fight against Jeremiah Wells via
decision. And honestly, I know I know
Tha is an underdog. He's a plus 270. I
just think he's due. You know, I'm using
the gambling uh energy going into this
one. Jonathan um he's on a fouright win
streak. He's Australian as well, home
crowd. But I do think Thembo Grimbo gets
like a submission or something. Bro, I
think I think he's got it. I I believe
in them honestly. And I was very sad
once he got choked out against Picente
cuz I guess like his home country
started making fun of him after he lost.
And I think he's got some he's got some
vengeance in him. I think he's ready to
to get that. So, I do think on this next
fight, Wes Schultz versus Ben Johnson. I
do think the Australians get their first
win of the night with Ben Johnson. Um,
he's on a fouright win streak favorite
minus 180. Uh, this is his first UFC uh
UFC uh event. So, a lot of these
Australian fighters, they fight under
this promotion called uh Eternal MMA. I
know you guys see Bedtime MMA doing a
lot of promotion for uh Eternal, and
I've been seeing a lot more highlights
of of Urs. And I do think Ben Johnson is
going to be able to get a win. Um, Wes
Schultz just lost a month month and a
half ago. So, there's a quick turnaround
for him. So, if you just fought a month
ago, you're back in Cam 4 weeks later
and you're already going to fight again.
Cut way, do the same thing. I'm thinking
this plays in favor for Ben Johnson and
we shall see. I think he gets a TKO. I'm
going to go with the first round KO for
for Mr. Johnson. Now, we're back with
Mr. Kobe Thickness. Okay, Kobe Thickness
did fight uh six months ago. Okay. So,
he's he's pretty pretty active. His last
loss against uh Alexandre Tapora, which
was already a year ago, surprisingly,
he's going against Vince Morales, who is
uh you know, teamed up with Cody Steel.
They've been training together. They
train in Las Vegas. I think he probably
trains out of uh Syndicate MMA. And
this one's tough because I also want to
go with the underdog here with Vince
Morales. I'm thinking they carry that
energy and they both get a dub, but he
has lost his last three and it seems
like uh and maybe it's a IQ type of
thing. I don't think it's athletic wise.
I just think during the fights, he
really has to put the gas and push on
the pedal to be able to get those
rounds. And I'm thinking Kobe thickness
wins this fight via decision. Morales
has lost his last three via decision.
So, I'm going to go with the same
pattern here. Um hopefully he's made
some um improvements. It's been a whole
year since he fought, so I'm going to go
Kobe thickness decision here, even
though I want Morales to win. Okay,
speaking of people I want to win. I want
GM3 to win. I really want him to win.
He's on a fouright losing streak. He's
going against Jacob Malcoun. Uh he's a
minus 1,000 favorite. Okay, that is
crazy. Okay, GM3, he is 37 and 21.
That's his record. Okay, 37 and 21. Tons
of fights, tons of submissions. He's a
plus 625.
I'mma rip a little bet on GM3. I'm not
going to lie. It's going to be small,
but I do think GM3 is going to be able
to get a submission. I don't know how. I
don't know why. I just know there's a
few fights on this card. If they lose,
this is our last time fighting for the
UFC. Um, but I'm going to go Jacob on
here just because we want to get as many
picks as we can, right? Uh, we're going
to go with U TKO. Okay. But I'm betting
GM3. Just know when you're watching the
fight and GM3 gets a sub, uh, we cashed.
Okay. Junior Taffa versus Kevin
Christian. This guy looks like
Komethazine. We have mentioned him on
this uh on this before. He just fought
not too long ago, five months ago
against Billy Ellen Ellen Connor. Billy
Ellen is a good fighter. Junior Taffa, a
few fights uh canled, right? He also
fought Billy Ellen and he also got
submitted. So Elen Connor is just
getting dubs off these guys. Junior Tafa
6 and five. His last win was a year and
a half ago.
Well, Taffa did really good in his last
fight against Helen Kana and then he
just got subbed.
Is that a sign that I should switch my
pick? I'm starting to cough. I'm going
to take that as a sign. I'm going Junior
Toffa here. TKO.
I started coughing. My throat started
feeling all weird. I got to listen. I
got to listen to myself, bro. Um, let's
move on. Cam Roen versus Robert Beast.
Uh, I'm going to go Cam Roen here. He's
a really really entertaining fighter.
Heavy heavy hands, lots of volume. I
feel like he ends up getting the win
here if not from TKO via decision. So,
I'm going to go with a decision win for
Cam Rosen. I know he's he's probably
going to look for the finish in this
fight. I just think that a lot of these
Polish people are very very durable. Um
they do not go out without a fight. So,
I'm going to go roasting decision.
How is this on the main card though?
Tied to Ivasa versus Louis Sutherland.
Okay, Louis Sutherland, he lost to
Walter Walker five months ago via heel
hook. It was a really quick submission
and he also lost to Brando Pieric by KO
and that was a month ago. and tied to
Ivasa. Uh I wouldn't even say that was a
war with Talis and Tixada. They were
both gassed. It was one of the funniest
fights I've seen. I'm not saying it
wasn't entertaining, but uh Taitovas has
last lost he's lost his last five
fights. Okay.
And
this is probably
probably his last fight if he loses.
If he can't beat Louis Sutherland,
I don't know who he beats. I do not know
who he beats, bro. Ty to Vasa is getting
smoked against Josh Hokit, Curtis
Blades, Alex Pereira, Sirill Gan. I know
he had a good fight against Sro Gan, but
that is just not the person who he is
right now, bro.
I'mma go tie to Iasa. I'mma go tie to
Iasa.
Louis Sutherland on the supplements
though all day. He's just not on him no
more. So I'm going tie to Iasa.
It He got attack. I think that was April
Fool's joke. I have no idea. It said
jiu-jitsu on the back. I'mma go
submission round two. I don't know how.
If there's a will, there's a way.
Next fight. Next fight. I don't even I
can't I can't even comprehend what's
going to there's no way someone could
confidently be like, "Yo, I'm taking Tai
to Ivasa and that's cash." I don't know.
I don't know. Shil Garcia versus Brando
Piich. Uh he's the one that beat Luis
Sutherland. Piich um he's on a fouright
win streak. Garcia has just lost against
Waldo Corteza. He he got knocked out.
I'm going to go with the underdog with
Shil. Shame is like 300 lb when he's not
uh fighting. So big guy, lots of power.
I do think he ends up getting a K.O.
gets a a bounceback win here against
Brando. I'm going to go with the round
two KO for Mr. Garcia.
Now, the man, the myth, the legend,
Marwan Rahiki. I really hope this fight
is not an insane war like his last two
fights. I love Marwan. One of the most
entertaining fighters I have ever seen
in my life. He's just getting hit way
too much. I really don't want him to get
hit. There was a a new opponent. Uh
other opponent fell fell out. Ali Schmid
is in. He's fighting out of New Zealand.
He is making his UFC debut and he's on
the main card against Maron. Rahiki. Uh
Rahiki just broke uh what's his name's
jaw uh Harry Hardwick's jaw uh like last
month. It's been a month and he's back.
So I'm going to go Rahiki KO round one.
I think that guy is going to get uh very
surprised by the UFC level. Maro and
Rahiki. He's a very entertaining
fighter. Not a lot of people know him.
I'm hoping we could get him on the
channel soon. Um, but Rahiki is a dog
and I got him all day. I got Steve Ersk
on this fight against Tim Elliot all
day. U, matchmaking has been very tough
for Steve Ersk. You know, he just got a
win against Ode Osborne. You got
Pantosia, right? Kai car friends and
Brandon Mareno. Like those are the the
the top top guys in his division. Um, so
I'm I'm going go with Steve Ersk all
day. Astro Boy, hometown favorite. I do
think Steve Ersk is really high level.
He's able to, you know, be very
technical and I feel like Tim Elliott is
not going to know the answers to all of
Steve Ursig's attacks. I'm going to go
with the decision win.
Actually, I'm going to go TKO. Round
round three TKO for Urs. Let's let's
switch it up here. Now, my intuition for
this fight, I do want to go into a
little bit more depth with these last
two just because a lot of these guy or
these guys right here are a little bit
more known and I have seen a lot of
their fights. So, we are able to kind of
go in depth with the the the game plan
of what I think is going to happen right
here with this co-main. Okay, so this
fight is three rounds. Benil Darush
versus Quillin Sa. We actually saw
Quillin in Vegas last time we were
there. He was partnering it up. He did
have aura. I'm not going to lie. Uh,
Sakill
knockout artist. Okay, Darush known to
have a paper chin as of late. You know,
he's been getting knocked out left and
right. And we just can't trust Benil
Darush when it comes to his chin. Sa
killed if he lands one time is Night and
that's the biggest like what if like
what if Darush just doesn't get hit. He
has the experience. He's been fine for a
long time. And honestly, I think Benil
Darush has an advantage when it comes to
grappling. Even though Salkild has been
a grappler, he wrestles a lot. I just
think that Darush may have some answers
and be able to maybe win a few rounds
against South Kill if they if that
happens. You know, if he if he escapes
the first round, I think Skild um might
be a little surprised from Darushi's
grappling. I mean, we could think of the
Hinata Moanu fight where he kind of
outpaced Hinato, and that could be on
Moanu's part, but I feel like Darush is
a little underrated when it comes to
that, but I know a lot of people, you
know, especially Bedtime MMA are
expecting a first round finish. And I'm
going to go with a second round finish
for Quillin Sill. I know he just got a
submission in his last fight, switching
it up a little bit, but I am very
curious to see if Daru surprises Quillin
a little bit. maybe in the first round
or so just being able to uh withstand
the attacks, find his his uh his range,
but at the end of the day, I can't um I
can't go against Quillin. He is a Garin
Warrior, you know, he's he's a part of
the Ga squad. So, I'm I'm rocking
Quillin South, just not round one KO,
even though I feel like that's what
majority of people are going to be
placing their money on. I think maybe
round two or three where he gets to
finish. So, that's where I'm going with
Southkilled here. round uh round two and
uh 94% of people are going with uh
Quillin. So
not surprised. I'm not surprised at all.
I don't know what I don't know what
Daruj did to deserve that type of
treatment. He was going to go against
Manuel Torres, right? Also a knockout
artist doesn't get outside the first
round. I don't know what he did at all.
So we're here. We're at the main event.
Jack Dela Matilena versus Carlos Proz.
And man oh man, isn't this a good
matchup? So, we got some standard boxing
and jiu-jitsu versus a pure Muay Thai
striker. This is going to be good
because JDM is the the one that has the
most weapons when it comes to this
matchup. He could use it the wrestling,
he could use the jiu-jitsu, the Craig
Jones type of jiu-jitsu, he could also
use the boxing. And Carlos Prozes, he's
very tall. He's able to use his his his
uh size very well throughout the fight.
So with Protis being a Muay Thai
fighter, you know, the clinch is going
to be really good for him, throwing
those knees, a lot of those calf kicks.
He's definitely not afraid of throwing
calf kicks and using a lot of power when
it comes to those shots. And Carlos
Protesus is a knockout artist. You know,
he knocked out Leon Edwards. He knocked
out Jeff Neil. And JDM's coming off his
worst loss of his career. It was against
Islam Makachev, but he did mentally
break. So, we can't forget about that.
You know, if especially if you just
mentally broken your last fight, you're
probably going to have a little a few
moments where you're just like, "Oh, I'm
back in this type of position. I'm back
here." And it's up to Jack to really
step up to the occasion. You know, he
lost his first few fights in his career
and went on an insane run. So, I'm not
saying JDM doesn't have heart, but, you
know, coming back, there might be a
little bit of some adjusting that I'm
thinking that's going to be taking place
if Carlos Proz puts him there
endurance-wise. that the key to this
fight I think is going to be the
grappling especially if JDM takes Pratis
down and Pis can't get out. I feel like
Pratis did a really good job against
Leon uh Edwards kind of just you know
mocking Leon as as the fight was
progressing saying it was boring. He was
being held against the cage and you got
that infamous um you know photo of of
Leon punching him and Pro is not not
giving a damn. So um this one's tough
you know this one's a tough fight to
predict. uh fairly even minus 110 for
each one of these guys and I'm going
JDM. If this fight was anywhere else, I
think Carlos Pro takes it. I just know
that Jack Dela, him being a former
champion, him being his home country,
he's going to have an extra pep in his
step, extra energy, and extra motivation
to be able to get the job done. If this
fight was in Brazil, I'm low-key taking
Carlos Pratus on this one, bro. And I'm
not saying I'm not a Carlos Pratis fan,
but I do think the grappling is going to
be a big question mark on what happens
on Saturday night. And I have no idea if
I'm going be awake during this fight, if
I'm going to wake up and see something,
but I wouldn't be surprised if I wake up
and I see pictures of Carlos Pratis
celebrating with a cigarette in his
mouth, bro. I wouldn't be surprised. So,
it's literally one of those fights where
it's a tossup. And honestly, it's been
tough for me to kind of predict the main
events, bro. I've been struggling as of
late. That's why I've been I've been
trying to, you know, focus and actually
take my time with this pick and honestly
try to do some some breakdown on this
type of fight just because I know JDM
he's going to be able to find his range
and and Protest is going to make it very
uncomfortable to for Jack to be able to
to get close enough to be able to do
that. U when it comes to uh the the the
reach advantage, Protest has a 5 in
reach advantage, which will play a role,
especially if he could utilize his jab.
And uh he's only 2 in taller, which is
not huge, but it's definitely something
to notice. So, I'm going Jack Dela Matt
Elena via buggy choke round
four. All right, I say it goes into that
that realm. Round two, three or four.
We'll see how it goes. Bro, I'm actually
really pumped for this card. I really
wish it was at like 900 p.m. or
something. But Australian fans, I guess
you guys could, you know, you guys you
guys uh you guys do that with the cards
over here in the US. So, can't complain.
Especially the UK fans. I know you guys
are out there staying up uh in the in
the late hours, in the early hours of
the day to watch the fight. So, um this
one this one's going to be good. So, let
me know you guys' predictions. I'm
really hoping that we cook on these uh
on this card because our last our last
few cards have not been fire. Let's just
say let's just leave it at that. They
have not been the best, but we we we
locked in on this one. So, I hope you
guys enjoy. I'll catch you guys on the
next episode. And comment down below
your favorite fight on this card. I'll
catch you guys later. We out. Peace.
