Boys, I have no idea what just happened.
Bro, if you guys just watched UFC 329,
you saw what happened the main event.
Conor McGregor Harris is like ACL in the
first 10 seconds of the fight. What was
crazy was that I was watching it on
stream and the quality was like not
there. So, I tried to refresh it. Wasn't
working. Pull it up on my phone. I pull
it up on my phone. I see McGregor on the
floor. I'm like, "Okay, he got dropped.
Okay, he's he's back up on the feet.
can't use his leg anymore. Probably the
most heartbreaking thing that could have
happened. Like, there are so many
outcomes that could have happened. We
saw Conor McGregor walk out in a mohawk.
Okay, first things first. All right, and
we're seeing all the possibilities that
could play out. This was honestly could
have been like the worst one ever, bro.
But in today's video, we're going to
break down the entire event. You know,
it was that was a very very bitter uh
end to that whole event as a whole. I
thought the whole card was was amazing.
those those finishes, those submissions,
those knockouts, uh debuts. So, um we're
gonna, you know, talk about each fight
and then kind of see what's next for
Conor McGregor. So, we're going to break
down each fight starting from the early
prelims all the way to the main event.
First fight of the night was Aleandro
Costa versus Cody Duran. Cody Duran has
just been, you know, getting finished.
submission was not, you know, kind of
predictable, but we end up getting a
round two submission for Costa to open
up the card. Uh, this middleweight fight
with Ryan Gandra and Zachary Reese, I
was at the weigh-ins. Zachary Ree had
aura, bro. Like, he had the cowboy hat.
He did the little shooter gun thing. I'm
like, okay, he's an underdog, but he
ended up getting slimed out by Ryan
Gandra. There's a lot of power from this
Brazilian guy, and he was very scary.
So, I mean, you know, that was the first
kind of KO finish of the night. Leading
the energy into the next fight was Fared
Bashroat versus John Garza. And
honestly, I was super impressed by John
Garza. He's fought for Fury um you know,
a organization based out in Texas. And
Fared Bashra is undefeated. His brother
also very good. He recently got cut from
the UFC. And John Garza ended up, you
know, taking this fight all the way
three rounds. you know, kind of expected
Bosrad to kind of put on a master class,
but John Garza was able to hit
reversals, you know, stay on top and
just have that durability and just, you
know, stay in the fight throughout the
entire duration of three rounds. John
Garza had some great moments landing a
lot of shots to the body. Uh, Bosro kind
of was kind of withering away when it
comes to the end, but Bosro kept on
spamming those single leg uh takedowns.
Even though Garcia uh you know reversed
a ton uh he was able to land a few
takedowns towards the end of the third
round which ended up leaving him with a
win. Now we have Damen Penas versus
Caesar Almeida. This one was tough for
me bro cuz I actually saw both of these
guys during fight week. I went to Caesar
Almeida's gym. Actually asked him a few
questions about the gym. He was a really
nice guy. He was actually cracking pads
and he has he has a ton of power, bro. A
ton of power on the pads. Damian uh
Penas, we we saw him at the food court,
bro. He was literally cutting weight and
was at the food court chilling and I'm
like, man, both these guys really about
to fight. This is the first time I've
ever seen two people during the same
week who are going to fight each other.
So, it was a very interesting
experience, but Damen ends up getting a
first round knockout. Um, pretty pretty
dangerous, but a lot lot of power in
Damen's hands. So, um, yeah, it was kind
of kind of, uh, surprising to see a
first round knockout. Even though both
these guys like to swing, I mean, I was
expecting maybe like, you know, two,
three rounds, but first round uh,
finish. And then the last last fight,
the early prelims, we had Tracy Cortez
versus Wang Tong. I always thought it
was Wayne Kong. It's it's spelled Kong,
right? But I guess in the Chinese
language, C's are pronounced with T's,
so it's always Wang Tong. I thought John
Anick just couldn't get his his names
right. I'm like, something's got to be
wrong. But Tracy Cortez um just really
couldn't get it going to be honest. I
felt like her aggression wasn't really
uh there. Uh Tong kept on u using those
calf kicks. Joe Rogan mentioned those
calf kicks throughout the entire fight.
Uh there was an illegal knee in the
second round that they did deduct a
point from Wang and uh they kind of, you
know, gave Cortez a little bit more uh
momentum, you know, knowing that she's
down, but Wang was able to just apply
the pressure and get a easy unanimous
decision against Tracy Cortez. Now we go
into the prelims. We have Luke Riley
coming out of England who is undefeated
cage warrior prospect versus Kai Kamaka
who we also saw at the food court.
There's two people that we saw at the
food court at the New York New York and
uh you know Kai Kamaka looked really
good. Both these guys are uh have a lot
of speed, very fast uh fast switch
muscle fibers going. Luke Riley took a
little bit to get going. He was eating a
lot of calf kicks but ends up putting
Kai Kamaka away. Maybe uh I think Joe
Rogan said it was a questionable
stoppage wanting Kai Kamaka to fight
back, but Luke Riley was really putting
the pace on and landed some mean shots.
I think Kai Kamaka was already out of
it. He really couldn't really defend
himself much. I thought it was a good
stoppage, but Luke Riley featherweight I
think uh he's going to make the make a
rise in the the featherweight division.
Um hopefully to see like a real test for
him. I feel like he still hasn't uh you
know fought a really big name yet or at
least a ranked name. So, I'm very
excited to see what Luke really has in
store and uh in the ground game as well.
So, I'm excited to see what's going on.
So, Luke and his team undefeated, bro.
Him and Patty ended up getting the win.
Now, Cody Garbrandt versus Adrien
Giannis. I thought Cody was going to be
able to show a little bit of Unk status
on this one a little bit and Giannis
ended up getting the dub. Um I know
Peyton Tabas called out Giannis a ton.
Maybe that fight does happen. You know,
Tabas kind of struggling to find some
matchups. I know Giannis isn't
necessarily ranked, but um maybe that's
a good matchup out there. So, it sucks
to see Cody go out like that, but um it
is what it is. You know what I'm saying?
Then we have Gable Stevenson versus
Alicia Ellison. Uh
I'm surprised Alicia did his thing, bro.
Like, honestly, I know he got slimed out
in the first round, but he fought back.
Like, he didn't get knocked out right
away. He landed some great shots against
Gable. Gable's the most favored prospect
that has been uh you know in the UFC as
a as a heavyweight that we've ever seen.
So Gable, there's a lot of things going
on with him. If you you know look up
online, there's a lot of controversy
surrounding his name. Um so there's a
lot of things that maybe the UFC hasn't
really clarified yet with Gable Stefson,
but he's kind of like the prospect. He's
wrestled his whole life. Jon Jones is by
his side. You know, he's making his UFC
debut. A lot of people, a lot of eyes on
him. Um he ends up getting a first round
finish. wasn't the most clean, you know,
like fight that that we've seen from
Gable. I know he has tons of power, but
the heavyweight division, like if you if
you jump up the ranks, you get into some
scary scary matchups. Silan, Josh Hokit,
uh, now Alex Pra, I don't know if he's
going to move down or not. Tom Aspenol.
So, you know, if he's going to jump up
the ranks, I feel like he's going to
jump up very soon and we're going to see
some interesting interesting matchups,
you know. So, I feel like Josh Hokit
would be an interesting one for sure. I
know they trained together um out there
in New Mexico, so maybe that's a
possibility, but uh Gable Stevenson, I
believe he's here to take over. Nikita
Kryaw versus Robert Whitaker. Um I'm not
going to lie, I went for Robert Whitaker
for this fight, and
I feel like it was a little sloppy, bro.
I'm not going to lie. Like, I love
Robert, love, you know, him moving up
the the weight classes from welterweight
to middleweight to light heavyweight. It
just felt like his his body language
wasn't super confident right away. He
was able to land his shots. Kryov was
eating a lot of one twos, a lot of right
hands from Whitaker. But there was there
was moments in the fight where I felt
like Whitaker could have really put the
pace on and look for the finish, but he
didn't. So maybe that's just the UNK,
you know, showing his his true uh high
fight IQ throughout the throughout the
fight and kind of taking his time. But I
also thought there was something messing
with his like feet and like his ankles
or something. He kept on moving his feet
in a weird way. So I was trying very
curious to see what was going on there.
Then we go into the the main the main
card. Uh Mr. Bobby King Green versus Ter
Terrence McKenna. You know, we all knew
this fight was going to end in the first
round. We didn't know who. We didn't
know what. But right away, Terence
McKenna starts putting paws on on King
Green. Starts leaking. You know, King
Green is is bleeding. It was just like
he was fighting an uphill battle
throughout the entire fight. Terence
McKini's on top. Green's still talking
to him when he when when McKini has his
back. and Green was able to reverse it
at the very end. I'm like watching the
final like there's 15 seconds left. I
think this goes to round two. Green
lands a mean shot to the body, ends up
finishing it at the last second of the
first round. So, if you guys didn't
know, I did a podcast with uh King
Green. So, like those nerves were real
for on this one. So, I was just like
very very concerned on how this fight
was going to play out just because
Terence McKenna is a finisher. He's
knocked people out. You know, Green has
knocked people out as well. So, high
high action, high cortisol type of fight
and uh you know, Green ends up
victorious and beats Terren McKini in
the first round. Now, I believe this is
fight of the night. I haven't really
seen it on my screen here, but um
Brandon Roy Val versus Looney Kavanagh.
Uh this fight was an absolute banger,
bro. Brandon Roy Val almost gets
finished by Looney. The second round,
Looney Kavanaaugh put like drops Brandon
Roy Val ends up looking for the kill.
Brandon scrambling and he ends up
getting into this omo platada and
honestly jiu-jitsu saves lives. Like if
any other person was in that position,
most people are getting slimed out right
there going unconscious. Roy Val ends up
getting a plat just to give him a little
bit of room to think and he was able to
get up and then end up getting the
submission in round three. Kavanaaugh
had some good submission defense. He
fought off a few submissions. He fought
off that arm triangle very well. Uh, but
that rear naked choke as soon as it went
under the chin, it was locked in. And
uh, Kavanaaugh and I feel like he's he's
done very well in the division. He's
beat Brandon Moreno, but Brandon Roy
Val, I feel like he hasn't had, you
know, been hasn't been given his flowers
like he really should. He was the
underdog going into this fight at plus
190. I thought that was kind of
ridiculous. So, Brandon, uh, Raw Dog Roy
Val ends up getting the win. Cory
Sanhagen versus Mario Bautista. And I
think they robbed my boy Cory Sanhagen.
I'm not going to lie, like I got I'm
going to be straight up, bro. Like I'm
When I watch fights, I have people I
lean towards. I was leaning towards Cory
Sanhagen. At the same time, when I see
fights, I'm like, "Yo, you know, I think
Cory's up. I think he has more volume. I
think he's done more damage. Bautista
ends up getting this knee bar. Cory ends
up fighting through it, but you could
tell when he goes back into the corner,
it is not the same like it was." So,
Cory had to adjust had to adjust. Mario
uh kept on attacking the leg. Overall, I
thought the first two rounds were to
Cory and I thought Bautista, you know,
dropped Cory in the third. 108 could
give it to him. Maybe a draw, but a
unanimous decision. Absolutely insane.
So, um, yeah, I feel like we're going to
have to watch this one back and honestly
get a get an honest approval here. But
Bautista, you know, he really was
durable, started spamming a lot of
takedowns, and that's something you have
to deal with during the fight. So,
that's it is what it is. You know what I
mean? We have a lightweight fight. Ben
Wisa Saint Deni versus Patty Pimlet.
Patty ends up getting a sub in the first
50 seconds of the fight, bro. Absolute
cinema. The walk out. Everything was
just how we how we thought it was going
to be. This card was absolutely fire.
These fights were back and forth. Yeah,
we had some highs. Yeah, we had some
lows. Patty Pimlet ends up getting this
like Daraconda
situation into like a guillotine. I
think we're gonna have to find a name
into that that submission. Ben Was
Denise fought tried to fight out of it,
ends up getting put to sleep. Patty
Pimble is that guy at lightweight still.
I think Patty Pimlet versus Ilia is is
next, bro. I got to be straight up. I
think that's the fight to make. You
know, Ilia has to come back after losing
for the first time against Gachi. And
these guys have beef. I think the UFC
hasn't really capitalized off using
beef. Why not settle it in the octagon?
So Patty Pimlet,
insane finish. Insane finish. So him and
Luke Riley, teammates both flying back
with the dub. Now the welterweight
fight, the main event we talked about
earlier.
Very sour taste, bro. Very sour taste of
this fight. Max Holloway wins a minute
in. Conor McGregor tears his knee and
can't get up, can't walk. Fight ends and
Connor walks off, bro. like Hunter, he
he done didn't get back on the mic. Max
Holloway kind of incentivized the
rematch. Like like bro, like let just
wait a little bit. Just a little bit. I
know Max just seems a little hungry for
the money right now. Of course, you want
to get paid the big bucks, but like
nothing happened in the fight. Connor
just walks away very upset. And this is
honestly up there for like the biggest
letdowns of a main event of all time. Um
which is very um sad. I got to be
straight up with you. Like where I was
expecting, you know, maybe Connor land
some good shots in the first two rounds.
Max Holloway, you know, maybe have a
submission thread or, you know, use that
his cardio in the late rounds. Who who
knows what Connor has been working on in
the the last 5 years, but uh maybe that
wasn't the right play. I don't know what
went wrong or if he already had a
pre-existing injury to his knee. Um
there's so many things that could have
uh went down that we really don't know
what happened. So for it to end this way
uh is very sad, very disappointing and
uh very interesting to see how this is
taken from the people. A lot of people
lost a lot of money. A lot of people won
a lot of money and uh you know just as a
fan um overall I think we're not the
most um entertained. So that is one
thing that um that Dana is going to have
to deal with. A lot of people are going
to be talking about this. It's going to
be very controversial. what's next for
Connor if he comes back or if this is
the last time we ever see him compete um
ever. Those are some topics of
conversation. So, um yeah, man. I'm
really really uh interested to see what
you guys think about the whole
experience if uh anything could have
been done to prevent any of these uh
outcomes and also uh what was your
favorite fight of the of the match. My
personal favorite was Kavanagh versus
Roy Val. Um I thought that was an
absolute back and forth, absolute
banger. So, um yeah. So, there was some
good, there was some bad. Got to take
the good, leave the bad type. You know
what I mean? So, that's kind of the the
energy I I have for this. So, um
appreciate every single one of you guys.
Make sure to leave a like, subscribe,
and uh stay tuned for more. Appreciate
you guys. We have
