00:59 problem with this whole place is not the

01:01 golf, it's the lodging. Like, this

01:03 resort barely has any lodging available

01:05 for how many golf courses and how much

01:07 traffic they have. They got like a

01:09 two-year lottery system. So, if you're

01:10 going to come out here, don't expect to

01:12 even stay here. You know, there's a

01:14 couple of hotels around by, but they're

01:16 all like C-class hotels. I mean, we're

01:19 here at the Best Western, not because we

01:21 want to be. we would happily pay more,

01:23 but it's literally the only thing that

01:24 could house this many people and there's

01:26 not many other options that are better

01:27 than that. It's actually the second best

01:28 option compared to this unless you're

01:30 going to like take a small group on an

01:31 Airbnb. I think if some developer comes

01:33 out and just builds some kind of super

01:35 nice hotel that's right there on the

01:37 coast, they'll make a lot of money. And

01:39 then yeah, I I haven't studied the

01:40 Airbnb market out here, but I got to

01:42 believe it's really good considering

01:45 there's just no houses available. But my

01:47 guess being Oregon and ultra liberal and

01:50 everything else, they're going to make

01:52 development and all that stuff a pain in

01:53 the butt.

02:14 about this course is it was the second

02:15 course of Bandon Dunes Resort. You know,

02:18 built in 2001, it still has the link

02:20 style golf and everything else, but it

02:21 does not have any views. And so, a lot

02:24 of people, even despite not having

02:26 views, rank this as their number one

02:28 course because of just how much strategy

02:31 and everything else is involved. So,

02:32 we're going to see how it ranks up

02:34 compared to every other course now that

02:36 we've played them all.

03:01 course at the Bandon Dunes Resort. You

03:05 one's actually ranked the number one

03:07 course inside of the resort. And so,

03:08 we're going to see if it lives up to the

03:10 hype.

03:19 So, Tom Do is the architect here. And

03:21 what's unusual is that they've got

03:22 backto-back par 3es, which I don't know

03:24 that I've ever seen on a course. It's

03:26 going to be fun to play those. But, man,

03:28 this right now just feels like kind of

03:31 Scotland. I mean, it's like hazy and

03:33 foggy and, you know, all these things.

03:35 And I haven't even been to Scotland yet.

03:36 We're going next year, by the way. But

03:38 like I got to imagine this is very much

04:40 UTVs, you know, shooting guns. You know,

04:42 we're going to the Dominican. There's

04:44 going to be a lot of excursions in the

04:45 Dominican that are just fun and

04:47 leisurely and family oriented. So, we

04:48 got a lot of cool things planned. I'm on

04:50 a journey, dude. I edited about 3 uh 15

04:53 through the wind.

05:41 Trails, cuz Bandon Trails doesn't have

05:43 views. But clearly, the views here are

05:45 spectacular. It's been interesting. You

05:47 know, we had 48 members here, and I get

05:48 to hear about different businesses and

05:50 problems and, you know, people are doing

05:51 deals, partnerships, and so every trip I

05:54 come away thinking, hey, you know what?

05:56 There's something that me and this guy

05:57 could potentially do. And it doesn't

05:59 have to happen today. I don't know when

06:01 it'll happen, but there's definitely

06:03 something we can do. But I can tell you

06:04 one thing is a lot of these guys have

06:06 different cool investments. And so for

06:08 me, I'm like, "Hey, as I make more money

06:10 and I need to stash away money in

06:12 different places, like there's a lot of

06:14 opportunity where it's just it goes way

06:16 beyond just your typical invest in the

06:18 S&P 500."

06:28 So, we're on Hole 17 here at Pacific

06:31 Dunes right now. And I got to say for

06:33 sure, this has been my favorite one of

06:35 the trip. I mean, we've played Old Mac,

06:37 we've played Sheep Ranch, Bandon Dunes,

06:40 and now we're here at Pacific Dunes, and

06:41 this has definitely been my favorite.

06:43 I'm also playing the best on this one,

06:46 so I'm very happy with that. Weather's

06:48 been great. But, you know, just the

06:49 holes and everything else, it's so

06:51 unique, so cool, just a lot of fun. For

06:55 here again every single year. And, you

06:57 know, as time goes on, we probably going

07:47 as long as the weather's good. If the

07:49 weather's bad, then yeah, I don't want

07:50 to walk. I also think for business and

07:53 just meeting people and hanging out and

07:55 talking shop like it's far better to

07:57 walk because now I can talk to the whole

07:59 forsome instead of just your cart

08:00 partner. So big fan of walk at the end

08:03 of the day too everyone here is on this

08:06 trip to build relationships do deals

08:09 network get to learn know things and so

08:12 walking allows you to do that more. I

08:14 mean even for me I've definitely learned

08:15 more walking. I've made more deals on

08:17 the golf course walking. So, I'm a big

08:20 fan.
